Planning Assistant

Cadnant Planning are looking for a highly motivated, planning assistant to work on a range of projects in a number of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure and tourism, mixed use, education and rural developments. You will have exposure to, and the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects and be part of a small commercially focussed team.

You should have an RTPI accredited degree in town planning, environmental planning or equivalent and have a desire to work towards full membership of the RTPI. Experience in a planning role (either consultancy or public sector), would be advantageous but not essential.

An ability to be client-facing and communicate well with local authorities, landowners, developers and other consultants will be fundamental to this role. You should have excellent communication, report writing and self management skills.

Planner/Senior Planner

Cadnant Planning are looking for a highly motivated, qualified planner to work on a range of projects in a number of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure and tourism, mixed use, education and rural developments. You will have exposure to, and the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects and be part of a small commercially focussed team.

You should have full membership of the RTPI or be working towards chartered status with experience in a planning role (either consultancy or public sector), of at least 2 years. You should have excellent understanding of local and national planning policy and be confident interpreting it, coupled with experience in preparing and submitting planning applications for a range of uses and commercial awareness.

An ability to be client-facing and communicate well with local authorities, landowners, developers and architects will be fundamental to this role. You will be responsible for providing clients with viable planning strategies in a comprehensive and timely manner. You should have excellent communication, report writing and project management skills.
