New storage unit at Lock Up Self Storage, Penygroes
Cadnant Planning Ltd has been commissioned by Lock Up Self Storage to undertake a pre-application consultation (PAC) in respect of proposed development on Lock Up Self Storage, Penygroes Industrial Estate, Penygroes, Gwynedd, LL54 6DB.
We give notice that Lock Up Self Storage is intending to apply for full planning permission for the erection of a storage unit (B8 use class) together with associated works.
Prior to formal submission to the Local Planning Authority and in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016, the proposal will be subject to pre-application consultation.
About the Application
This application relates to the erection of a new storage unit (B8 use class) at Lock Up Self Storage, Penygroes Industrial Estate, Penygroes. The land is currently used as a caravan storage area.
The proposal would provide additional self-storage unit space within a storage building, as well as the provision of office space for Lock Up Self Storage at the site.
Access to the site would be provided via an existing access off the Penygroes Industrial Estate internal access road, which leads west off Rhedyw Road. No changes are proposed to the existing access.
The ground floor would comprise of a storage area, a foyer, consultation room and tea bay. The first floor would comprise of a storage area alongside a manager’s office and an accounts office. The second floor would comprise solely of storage space. The building can be accesses via a ramp up and set of stairs along the unit’s eastern elevation. An access from the existing Lock Up Self Storage building would be created along the proposed unit’s southern elevation.
